Our cocktail recipes are created by Martin Cate, one of Max’s founders & owners. Martin’s book, “Smuggler’s Cove: Exotic Cocktails, Rum, & the Cult of Tiki” won a James Beard award in 2017 for best cocktail book. He’s also an internationally-renowned rum expert who judges at many of the major international rum competitions.
